Belle & Sebastian
“I Want the World to Stop”

An interesting thing about Belle & Sebastian is that their retro pop pastiche keeps gradually moving up through the 20th century — to my ears, this is their classic style nudging into the late 70s or early 80s, after much of The Life Pursuit was rather mid ’70s. I’m very curious what will happen once they get closer to the time when they began, the early to mid ’90s.
